ABUJA, Nigeria — Global innovation-by-design firm Consulus officially launched Consulus Africa in partnership with Sa’I Anwara ’I’ Jumai Consultaire Limited (SCL) Nigeria. This groundbreaking collaboration was announced during the Future Resilience through Regenerative Agriculture for an Economy of Communion event on March 14, 2024, at Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
For over two decades, Consulus has expanded to 23 nations around the world. This growth is a testament to its unwavering commitment to embodying the Economy of Communion (EoC), a visionary economic model rooted in the principle of putting human relationships and solidarity at the forefront of business practices.
Sindavanh Manivong, Consulus Global Chairwoman 2023-2024, expressed her enthusiasm for the continuous growth of Consulus’ operations since its inception in 2004. “In the year of our 20th anniversary, we are proud to announce the co-development of new leading methodologies and models in the domain of agricultural and rural development, which we will together present at our upcoming Shape the World Summit in June in Singapore,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Andrew Kwasari, President of SCL, expressed his excitement for this partnership that seeks to combine SCL’s deep-rooted knowledge of the African agricultural landscape with Consulus’ expertise in innovative design and strategy.
“The SCL way: Go to the people, live with them, learn from them, love them! Start with what they know, build on what they have! and in line with the Chinese thinker Tao Zelung (700 BC): ‘But of all the leaders, When their work is accomplished, When their task is done! The people will remark: We have done it ourselves!’ is in perfect alignment with the Consulus changemakers’ purpose,” Dr. Kwasari added.
The launch of Consulus Africa signifies an intensified commitment towards a more sustainable future that transcends borders. Inspired by the Focolare Movement, this development embraces unity and fraternity and sets the stage for the future of Consulus in the years to come.
