SINGAPORE — Rawi Ahmed, Partner at Consulus, has been elected as the new Global Chairperson* for 2024-2025. The official announcement was made during the Shape the World Summit in Singapore on 21 June.
The Global Chairperson position was established in 2019 to create additional leadership roles beyond the Group CEO. This role aligns with the governance principles of the Economy of Communion (EoC), which emphasizes group participation. Elected by certified and active Consulites and Partners, the Global Chairperson is intended to promote unity and oversee key governance decisions within the company.
Rawi brings more than thirty years of project and production management experience in project management, effective and efficient management, putting in place values-based management systems, and ensuring compliance and transparency. He carries with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise stemming from his background of working across various companies such as McGraw Hill Publishing, Syntax International, Octogram Singapore, OM Creative.
As the Global Chairperson, Rawi will work in unity with Lawrence Chong, Group CEO, by providing governance and leadership advice, together with the core working team. He will also focus on public relations, serve as the spokesperson for the company, and will lead the preparation for the 2025 Consulus Global School and Shape the World Summit to be held in Rome, Italy.
Sindavanh Manivong, the outgoing Global Chairperson for 2023-2024 and Director of Consulus Laos, extends her deep gratitude for the support she received during her term.

Rawi, on the other hand, expressed his commitment to utilizing this new role to further his work as a Partner and Changemaker.

*Consulus will now be using the term “Chairperson” instead of “Chairman” to be more inclusive and gender-balanced.
