Consulus launches DialogueCORE, Dr. Farha Iman to helm new practice

SINGAPORE, 4th February 2024 – Dr. Farha Iman joins Consulus Global as the Global Head of DialogueCORE, a new and innovative practice that harnesses Consulus’ expertise to foster interfaith and intercultural design solutions.

Dr. Iman has over a decade of experience in faith and cultural dialogue. She holds a doctorate in interfaith foundations in Islam and Christianity from the Sophia University Institute in Florence, Italy. Previously, she was a recipient of the South-East Asia Fellowship (2019 Cohort) of the KAICIID Dialogue Centre, an intergovernmental organization based in Lisbon, Portugal. She is a founding member of Sarva Dharma Samvaad, Delhi, where she also served as general secretary.

In this new position, she will spearhead and execute strategic research, provide development and design on interfaith and intercultural issues, and help global firms become holistic in engaging with stakeholders.

Sindavanh Manivong, Chairwoman of Consulus Global Network, warmly welcomed Dr. Iman’s appointment and expressed her excitement as DialogueCORE aligns with Consulus’ goal of fostering unity and cohesion on a global scale.

“With growing division and generative AI capabilities for deep fake, this new practice is timely and in line with our mission to shape a united world. I warmly welcome Dr. Farha Iman’s leadership and expertise to lead this critical practice. I believe many of our partners will be able to embrace dialogue more holistically and effectively,” she said.

The launch of DialogueCORE coincides with the UN’s International Day of Human Fraternity, which is celebrated every 4th of February, to highlight the importance and acceptance of pluralistic traditions and mutual respect to promote a culture of peace.

This also marks the celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week (February 1-7), an event that emphasizes the value of harmony between all people regardless of their faith and culture.

Dr. Iman, the new Global Head of DialogueCORE, reflected that “In the advent of a changing era in the global economy, Consulus is promoting dialogue in businesses. To address new problems, we need new solutions from new perspectives. Certainly, Consulus possesses the sincerity, capability, and efficiency to provide timely and creative solutions.”
