Mr. Shu Jie Tan, Frost and Sullivan Country Head of Singapore, gives a speech on Transforming Society The Role of Family Offices for Track 2 Creative Vision during STWS 2024

Consulus, Frost & Sullivan launch FamilyCORE to transform family offices in Southeast Asia

Jul 5, 2024 | English, Media, News & Updates, Press Release, Shape The World Summit, STWC Media Release

Consulus, together with Frost and Sullivan, launched FamilyCORE, a new strategic joint solution that aims to map and scale the impact of Family Offices (FOs) in Singapore and the region through innovative approaches and by linking them to other organizations in Southeast Asia.

The launch was made during the Shape the World Summit (STWS) held at Changi Jewel, Singapore on 21 June 2024.

According to Lawrence Chong, Group CEO of Consulus, this partnership through FamilyCORE will “matter” as both companies intensify efforts to “help family offices in being effective”  in their impact  at “a time of multiple[crises].”

Through joint efforts, the following specific outcomes are expected to be implemented in the coming years:

  1. Publish a paper on how FOs measure impact investing and their experiences
  2. Develop an index to rank FOs in Singapore based on feedback from a whitepaper
  3. Evaluate an FOs current portfolio to assess their impact investing intent, experience, commitment, process, and management
  4. Reach out to identify areas needing financial support that Family Offices can fund to accelerate the attainment of an Economy of Communion (EoC)

The collaboration between Consulus and Frost & Sullivan addresses several challenges faced by FOs, particularly in Singapore, to drive “meaningful change and innovation within Family Conglomerates and Family Offices.”
