Lawrence Chong, CEO at Consulus, has been invited to present and moderate at the upcoming General Assembly of Religions for Peace, which will deliberate on the theme – Welcoming the Other: Action for Human Dignity, Citizenship and Shared Well-being. The General Assembly, which takes place in Vienna from 19 – 22 November, will bring together 600 senior religious leaders, youth and women of faith representing the world’s religious traditions from over 100 countries. Religious leaders will be joined by representatives of governments, intergovernmental organisations, and other civil society sectors to forge concrete multi-stakeholder partnerships for the common good.
Lawrence will speak in the one of the pre-assembly sessions on the 19th of November on the topic of: Welcoming the Other through – Just and Harmonious Societies. He will then serve as Moderator for Commission IV: “Welcoming the Other through Religious and Interreligious Education” .
Lawrence is currently serving as a member of the Executive Council for Asian Conference of Religions for Peace.
