Grounding the Strategy
Consulus initiated the transformation by establishing a strategic operational plan and an implementation roadmap. This plan enabled NWC to redesign its processes, align with ESG standards, and enhance the company’s core strengths and proprietary know-how. A 360-degree business impact review, including a staff survey, external communications, and a brand impact and identity visual audit, was conducted. Additionally, a two-day strategic workshop was held to define the company’s true north and Growth Building Blocks, positioning NWC as an oil and gas company. This structured approach also laid the foundation for building internal business capabilities, ensuring that NWC was well-equipped to navigate the challenges of modern commodity trading.
Executing the Blueprint
The next phase involved developing strategic processes and documents to support value creation and operational performance. Consulus designed an operational performance matrix, corporate goal-setting templates, and talent management tools—all critical for ensuring strong governance and operational efficiency. The redesigned processes were flexible enough to accommodate changes while maintaining clear governance so that NWC could manage its operations effectively.
Driving Strategic Outcomes
To solidify NWC’s market position, Consulus implemented a comprehensive brand strategy and brand system. This strategic transformation aimed to enhance NWC’s digital presence, establish the company as a market influencer, and secure buy-in from global partners. The following deliverables were implemented:
- Developed a corporate identity manual to ensure consistent alignment with NWC’s desired market influence.
- Designed visual identity elements such as name cards, letterheads, and digital assets to reinforce the brand’s presence.
- Created and implemented brand applications across various platforms to enhance NWC’s corporate image.
